Epistemological Problems in the Movement from Genetic Psychology to Education
This video is a record of the international homage to Jean Piaget, carried out in several cities around the world and organized on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. The presentation raises the problem of the extension (as opposed to application) of Genetic Psychology to the field of education. Based on an epistemological discussion, Castorina starts considering Piagetian psychology, not as a theory, but as a vast research program, characterized by a fundamental group of problems, some basic theses and methodological principles. The relationship between this nucleus, which is never static, and the problems posed by school learning, is the focus of the discussion.
